5 Things to Give Thanks for this Thanksgiving
As the aroma of homemade cranberry sauce lingers in my kitchen, the thought occurs to me how thankful I am for the unprecedented President Barack Obama and the bumbling Democrats who support his agenda. Hang in there for a minute, patriots! I am thinking about all we Americans have to be thankful for, and for patriots, it’s a lot.
- Thankful for our Armed Forces, who risk their lives to keep our country safe.
- Thankful for our Founding Fathers, who forged our Constitution.
- Thankful for our Republic, which, despite the blows it is taking from politicians and Pres. Obama, stands strong.
- Thankful for our faith and trust in God, whom we lean on in these difficult times.
- Thankful for Pres. Obama’s missteps, and for the Democratic leadership, which as a whole is ignoring its bosses, the American people.
The last item may seem a silly thing to be grateful for, but I thank God that Obama and the Democratic leadership seem h*ll bent on a course that will allow for a huge upset in the 2010 elections.
As Americans watch in dismay as Obama continues to bow to world leaders, throw huge parties at the White House at taxpayer expense, postpone his decision on more troops to Afghanistan, allow AG Eric Holder to try terrorists in New York City’s court system (why would we want to give terrorists the full rights in a trial we citizens enjoy?) and spend more money than any U.S. president ever, all in his first year in office, Obama continues checking off his wish list.
That wish list apparently includes putting the U.S. military between a rock and a hard place. Three Navy Seals who reportedly captured a highly sought after terrorist are rewarded by facing criminal charges, for allegedly giving a terrorist a bloated lip. WTH is going on? I’m sorry, but I don’t think a fat lip constitutes any criminal charges whatsoever, do you? Charging these three Navy Seals serves to not only anger all those who serve or have served in the military, it shocks American patriots, and sends messages of conflict and weakness around the globe.
Thankfully, the American people are not weak. Their message has been clear to Washington leaders.
Unfortunately, while the message has been strong and clear, many Senators and Representatives liberal in beliefs have continued to vote Obama’s agenda into law. The corruption of some politicians is clear to ordinary Americans. We know some votes are being bought. However, like small children who think their parents don’t know what is actually going on, our Congressional leaders continue to do what they want.
No matter. The 2010 elections will make clear that American patriots ‘have teeth.’ Seems many in Washington pushing Obama’s agenda have forgotten their way. Pride cometh before a fall.
My warmest thanks go out to all you patriots who continue to work tirelessly to save our country.

I agree with you- the Dem’s are making a fatal misstep by trying to ram through the things which they have dreamed of doing for years (publicly financed healthcare, cap & trade, political spoils in the guise of stimulus). The problem is that the gov’t is in a huge deficit situation. It makes it the worst possible time to do this. It will also weaken our foreign policy vis-a-vis China and others- we owe the world so much $$, and it is being frittered away. It is still a ways out, but next year’s elections will come. Unless Reid & Pelosi fall off their horses on the road to Damascus (fat chance of that), this course will continue until one or both lose their Senate and House leadership positions.
Yes, we do have many things to be thankful for today. Our republic is in serious jeopardy and it appears that those sleeping Americans are now awakening to the reality of what liberals and, unfortunately, many Christians and GOPs did; vote a communist into our Oval Office.
On this Thanksgiving Day, I forgive them. After all, how could they have KNOWN what they were doing? Mainstream media certainly didn’t warn anyone and unless someone is smart enough to follow politics and current events, one would never have known. He fooled many people. But, I’ve decided that the past election demonstrates that uninformed people should not be allowed to vote.
The coming months will bring many fights for those of us who’ve made it our business to stop the agenda in Washington, D.C. that is literally dismantling every part of America. We can be thankful that our resolve will not be broken. In my heart, it is a fight to the finish; death of our dream or death of policies that will alter the fabric of our country. Our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves at what we have allowed to happen in the United States of America.
Look upon the beautiful landscape of Arlington National Cemetery and one can see not only beauty, but sacrifice and loyalty. Those crosses represent an American people who have fought against everything we stand to lose today. Let us be thankful for their sacrifices and not cheapen their lives by giving in.
We will give the Democrats all the rope they need in order to hang themselves. The rope is the rope of Freedom. Their chains will not be bound upon the American People.
